First I'm going to show what I bought from Urban Outfitters. I do have to say, Urban Outfitters have the nicest home things, I would buy everything if I had the money but obviously, it is pretty expensive so I had to limit myself to the things I really loved.
I was instantly drawn to this because obviously my name begins with A and I thought it would be a great piece on my bed. I like it because it's quite plain and it will go with any colour scheme and I can put any kind of pillows beside it and they will go great together. I haven't seen this design of a cushion before so I basically decided I needed to have it. They obviously do other letters as well so it's a great way to personalise your room if you fancy it.
These fairy lights are hands down the best item I bought. I first saw them in the story and instantly fell in love but I didn't buy them. However, when I looked again on the website I just knew I had to have them. Again, I love these because they're not your usual fairy lights, they're really cute and pink and will really make a room feel homely in my opinion. They also come in a range of colours if you're looking for a more plain set, they come in just the normal daisy colours. They are also on sale now from £15 to £8 so a great buy!
This is the last item I purchased from Urban Outfitters (although, I could have bought SO much more) and I just thought this was going to be a really useful addition to my room. I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of this as at Uni I also have a million and one things to do and I like to write myself reminders and plans for the week. So basically, I'm just going to use this to write reminders for myself of things that I must get done. It's also just a really cute bit of decor to your room and a good alternative to a white board or just a bit of paper, it's going to look really cute hanging on the wall.
Moving onto the things I got from B&M. B&M is a really cheap shop which sells lots of home things including lots of pretty decor, they also do a lot of heart shaped things which makes me very happy. Because it's pretty cheap you may automatically assume that the things in it aren't going to be as nice or as good quality but I actually beg to differ. I have bought so many things from B&M since becoming a student, it's a really good price and they do the most adorable things. In the past, I have purchased heart shaped plates from there and other bits and they have been some of my favourite home items so I would definitely recommend it, especially if you don't have a lot of money to spend.
First of all, let me just say this was £12.99 for a double duvet cover AND two pillow cases, such a bargain. I was drawn to this because as I said, I am looking to add a Cath Kidston feel to my new bedroom however, I do feel like the Cath Kidston range is rather over-priced. I really like the patterns on this and the colours used, I also like the patchwork style, it adds more interest to the bedding. I just think it's going to look really cute and cosy. I also think think I'm going to purchase a fluffy white/cream coloured throw to go with it. They have a few other sets in the Vintage range which are also worth looking at if this one is not exactly for you, there are some with bright colours and some which are much calmer colours.
Lets be honest, a bin is not the most glamorous or pretty thing to buy however, I do think this bin is very very cute. It fits in really well with my colour scheme and I adore the heart detail at the top. It's also a decent size as in, it doesn't take up too much room but it's also not too small so that you have to empty it every minute. I just think it's sooooo cute and I'm going to feel sad throwing rubbish into it because it's too pretty.
Pink Clock
Obviously, I was attracted to it because it was pink. I also love the way some numbers are bigger than the other, I think that sets this item aside from your basic clock and makes it look a lot more fun. I also think it's a great size and is going to fit in great with the theme of my room. I believe they do this clock in different colours like baby blue and possibly grey.
That is all that I purchased for now, I still have a few bits to get so if you enjoyed reading this blog - let me know and I will do a part 2! Also, I am sorry I haven't been able to link all the things from B&M but I am sure they will have them in store even if they're not on the website.
