What's in my make-up bag?

In this post, I'm going to be going through the items that I have in my every day make-up bag. Some of the items that I will be talking about, I have been using religiously for years and others, I have only just purchased recently. Nevertheless, I will be giving my thoughts on the products.

First of all, I have the Ted Baker make up bag (that's it above!) I bought it from House of Fraser over a year ago and I think it's really pretty, I adore all the Ted Baker make-up bags. Also, it's a really good size, I can fit lots in there and don't have any trouble getting it in my hand bag. Another thing I love about this make-up bag is that it's hard wearing, this bag has been with me in many places and hasn't changed shape or been damaged in any way.

FACE

1. Nivea Pure & Natural Soothing Day Cream
I like to apply this cream just before I begin to do my make-up. It really moisturises my skin but doesn't make it oily, which is why I love it so much. It also smells lovely and is a decent make-up bag size.

2. MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (Click here for a full review)
I've written a full review on this foundation which I have linked above however, I will say I adore this foundation, it's got the perfect coverage, it's very easy to apply and it's long lasting!

3. Collection 2000 Concealer
I initially bought this product because I saw bloggers raving about it. I must admit this is probably the best concealer that I have used to date. It gives great coverage and definitely covers my dark circles. The coverage doesn't last all day so I usually have to re-apply it midday, however, this is still a great product.

4. Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil
I have only recently started filling in my eyebrows so trying new eyebrow pencils is experimental for me. I haven't had this long but I do like this product, it seems to do the job, it's easy to apply and lasts well through out the day. It also makes my eyebrows look pretty natural and I like the little eyebrow brush you get with it.

EYES

5. Maxfactor Masterpiece Max Mascara
This is my absolute go to mascara. Despite trying numerous mascara's over the years I have always gone back to this one. I love that it's long lasting and doesn't smudge whatsoever. Additionally, it makes my eyelashes look really long and black without making them look clumpy. If you're looking for a new mascara to try I would definitely recommend this.

6. Rimmel London Scandaleyes Eyeliner
I wear eyeliner almost every day and I have to admit, I have tried a lot of different ones over the years as I can't seem to find the perfect one. This eyeliner is my latest experiment and I would say I have been pretty please with it so far. I definitely prefer eyeliners that you can hold like a pen as opposed to the ones in the pots as they're just so much easier to control. It's pretty easy to get a good line with this eyeliner and it will last a good part of the day. However, on some occasions I do find that that after a long day it might smudge a bit at the top of my eye.

7. Maybelline Colour Tattoo (Pink Gold)
This is my favourite eyeshadow at the moment therefore it has it's very own special place in my make-up bag. The eyeshadow is a creamy texture which makes it really easy to apply and blend. It lasts all day and I personally adore this colour as it fits perfectly with an every day make-up look.

LIPS

8. Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms (Hydrate & Pink Punch)
I think a lip balm is an absolute make-up bag essential. I adore these lip balms, they leave my lips feeling smooth and hydrated. I usually like to apply the Hydrate lip balm before applying a lipgloss or when my lips are feeling especially dry. Pink Punch is also great if you want to moisturise your lips and add a cute pink tint to them at the same time.

9. Tanya Burr Lipgloss (Afternoon Tea)
This lipgloss is my absolute favourite nude gloss at the moment. It's long lasting and is a very subtle colour but at the same time it brightens up a simple make-up look. It also smells really nice.

BRUSHES

10. Make Up Brushes
Real Techniques Foundation Brush - I love the real techniques brushes. This brush is really great for applying my foundation it always provides me with an even coverage and it's really soft.
Real Techniques Shading Brush - I use this to apply my concealer but I believe that people also use it for eyeshadow. I think this is a great size and shape for blending a concealer, it blends really evenly and fits under the eye perfectly.
Superdrug Eyeshadow Brush - I bought this recently as just a cheap brush to try out. I've only used it a few times but I can't really fault it. It applies and blends my eyeshadow perfectly.

Let me know what are some of your essentials in your make-up bag.
