Before I begin my review on the foundation, I think my in-store experience is worth mentioning. MAC offer a service where they face match the foundation to your type of skin. The lady that served me firstly applied a shade darker than the shade I actually bought and I knew from this that this was not my colour and that I needed to go lighter. I found this really useful as with the price I was paying, I did not want to get the wrong colour. Also, they log your colour onto the MAC system so if you buy any MAC products in the future they will know your colour.
Here are three things I adore about this foundation:
1. Easy to apply - To apply the product, I use the real techniques foundation brush and I have found that unlike many other foundations, this product applies really easy and evenly. It's really easy to blend in and the colour blends in really well with my skin tone and gives me a really soft, natural finish.
2. Long Lasting - I have found that, unlike drugstore foundation, this product is long lasting. I apply it early in the morning and go through the whole day without applying it again and my face will still look as blemish free as it did in the morning. Although this foundation is perfect for my skin type (I am more dry than oily) I was told that people with oily skin will have to apply powder on the top of the foundation in order to make it last longer.
3. Natural Finish - as I mentioned earlier, the finish on this foundation is very natural. As long as you get the right colour, you won't look too orange or too pale, it will look really natural but also polished up.
The only down side I found with purchasing this foundation is that you have to purchase the pump separately for an extra £4, however, in the long term, this isn't going to be much of a set back as you can re-use the pump for future foundations.
To conclude, if you are asking yourself whether you should spend that extra £10 on a better foundation - I would answer YES! It's totally worth it for a more flawless finish to your skin that lasts all day!

Thank you for this post, Anastasiya. I've been wavering on fully committing to wear make-up. MAC is a brand I've always trusted with buying lipsticks. This post has solidified my decision to buy this foundation + made it easier.
