REVIEW: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Good evening everybody, this post (as I'm sure you guessed by the title) is a review of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I have been lusting after this foundation for a long, long time and finally took the plunge and decided to buy it. As much as I would like to be telling you about how much I love this foundation, especially when I spent £40 on it, I am just really not all that impressed.
Below I will outline my main points of disappointment with this product.

Coverage
Before buying the product I had done my research and I knew the coverage is quite light however I was under the impression that I could build the product up if I am wanting a heavier coverage. I quickly found that no matter how much I put on this was simply not covering any of my blemishes. I get quite bad blemishes around my cheek area and when I wear this foundation, I may as well not have anything on.

Short Lasting
When I pay £40 for a foundation, I expect it to last the whole day - no matter the weather or what I am doing. This is just not the case. We have had a couple of hot days really which is never great with foundation anyway but this foundation would just come off my face, especially around areas such as my nose. This leaves me with a rather unflattering look by the time I am home.

The Finish
The foundation itself makes my skin feel quite oily and even with a bit of powder, it doesn't settle. The finished look isn't flawless at all but just makes me feel and look as if I need I need to actually wear some proper foundation to cover any bits on my skin that I am unhappy with.

Any positive thoughts? I do think this foundation may be good for people who don't suffer from blemishes and are only looking for a light coverage and a very natural look. Although, I am sure you would be able to find something much more affordable from the drug store.

Would I buy this foundation again? I hate to say it but NO. I may grow to love it over the summer when I have a tan and don't need much foundation but for now, I am regretting this purchase.

Thanks for reading and please let me know your thoughts on this foundation or would like to recommend any foundations.
