Hello guys,
Much like everybody else I have been lusting after the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. A couple of weeks back I decided to give into temptation and buy the product. I bought it from Cult Beauty and after a very speedy delivery I was desperate to try out the palette. In this post I will be sharing my first impressions of the product and also letting you know how you can recreate my really easy yet very effective look.
The palette is full of gorgeous pinks and oranges and also some stunning glittery shades which are all unbelievably pigmented. The colours are also really easy to blend together to create that perfect finished look. For my first try of the palette I opted for an orangey look which will be detailed below.
1. I primed my eyelids with the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion which is my holy grail primer as it just insures my eyeshadow is long lasting and doesn't crease all day.
2. I then went in with the colour Tempera all over my lid and this just gives a great overall base colour and can be used in any look.
3. I went in on my crease with the colour burnt orange using my Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease Brush.
4. Once I was happy with this, I used the the gorgeous red ochre shade in the outer corner of my eye to just create a slightly darker colour. This shade is so gorgeous and will look amazing in so many looks.
5. Following on, I added the realgar shade on my crease just to intensify the orange look. Finally, I added the primavera shade (a stunning golden glitter which will complete so many looks) on the lids and in the corner of my eyes.
6. I blended everything together with my Sigma E25 Blending Brush and VOILA!
Now I am not an expert make-up artist and I am still very much experimenting with eyeshadows the best ways to apply it but I found that this palette made it so easy to create a perfect look. Like I mentioned early, the colours are extremely pigmented and so easy to apply and they blend so beautifully together. This look also lasted all day and there was no fading or smudging through out.
The range of the shades in the palette are so beautiful that there are so many beautiful looks to create with it that I can't wait to do. I would definitely recommend this the palette to anyone. I know it's a little pricey at £41 but I really do believe it'll be the greatest eyeshadow purchase of your life to date.
