In this post I am going to be discussing a product that I only came across recently and one that I have absolutely grown to love and that is the NYX Matte Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Abu Dhabi. This is the first but definitely not the last NYX product that I have tried and for the price of £5.50 it is an absolute bargain.
We have recently had a NYX counter open at my local Boots and I have heard a few good things about the products and for such a cheap price I just had to try it. The Abu Dhabi shade looks like a dark brown nude from the outside but in fact it once placed on the lips, its much lighter and in my opinion resembles a similar shade to MAC's velvet teddy which I always have and love.
The first thing I noticed when applying this product is the delicious smell, it's sort of a coconutty (that's not a word, is it?) scent. Although this is not essential for a good lip product, it's definitely a bonus. Also, the product is really easy to apply thanks to a very well shaped wond.
Once applied, the lip cream first appears to look like a gloss and then after a minute or so it begins to turn matte. This particular colour is a just sensational and will look absolutely great with any look whether you are getting glammed up or just want an everyday lippy! It's long lasting and really isn't drying at all, supposedly because it is branded as a cream.
I believe NYX have a massive set of colours in this range and I am so excited to try out some more and with that price, I may even steer out of the nudes and try something a little out of my comfort zone. If you are not a big fan of mattes, NYX also do Intense Butter Glosses which I have also heard great things about and can't wait to try!
To summarise, here are the reasons to try out this product:
1. Very affordable.
2. Smells and looks great on the lips.
3. Long lasting and not drying.
4. Easy to apply.
5. Lots of colours to try.
