I saw this tag on twitter and I instantly knew I had to do it because I recently went to Disney and it was the best experience of my life and yes that is probably because I am a massive kid. If you ever get the chance to go, grab it with both hands!! I am very excited about doing this so, lets get started....
1. What year did you first visit Disneyland and how old were you?
I visited Disneyland in July 2015 and I was 21 years old. For my 21st birthday my parents planned a trip to Paris for me, when I found out we were going to Paris I insisted to my boyfriend, much to his disapproval, that we HAVE to go to Disney!
2. Which of the Disney hotels have you stayed in, and do you have a favourite?
I haven't stayed in any of the hotels as we only went for the day unfortunately. In the future, I would absolutely love to go for a few more days and in one of the amazing hotels, as there is still so much I want to do.
3. Let us in on where the best place to eat within both parks are?
There is a massive Planet Hollywood just outside both of the parks which I really wish I went to because it's a sort of tradition of mine to go there. Apart from that, as you enter Disneyland there are lots of cute little coffee shops & restaurants. One that stood out to me sold lots of yummy looking pastries so I would definitely recommend looking around there. For us, we didn't want to spend lots on food or spend lots of time eating as we didn't have much time as it was. So, we ended up eating at the Walt Disney Studios and just grabbing a meal deal of burger, chips, drink and a brownie for a very good price!
4. Where was your first port of call when entering the Disneyland Park?
The first thing we did was wonder around the park, we didn't actually have a clue where we going and were so overwhelmed by the whole place. I think we ended up exploring and booking ourselves fast passes onto a number of rides, as well as finding ones that took our fancy which we wanted to go onto later. The first ride we ended up going on was the Buzz Light Year Laser Blast (in Discoveryland) and it was so much fun!
5. Do you have a favourite 'land'? If so, why?
All of them were so magical but if I had to choose I would probably say Adventure land as it had lots of really good rides as Indiana Jones but I also really like the whole pirate atmosphere and all the little caves you can look round. I have to put Frontierland as a joint favourite just because it had Thunder Mountain and also, Phantom Manor which I thought was amazing.
6. Which ride could you ride over and over and never get tired of?
My favourite rides over at Disneyland were probably the Big Thunder Mountain, it was a really great rollercoaster and you could tell it was popular as we had to wait till the evening to go on it with the fast track passes. However, I have two rides which I absolutely LOVED and those were both over at the Walt Disney Studios. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was a ride I was scared to go on as I hate mega drops but I am so glad I did. As you're queuing you enter a haunted hotel and you end up being a dark lift and you sit down in a chair and you're in the dark as the lift drops. The lift gets to the top and the doors open and you can see the whole of the park. It is absolutely amazing and I would 100% recommend it. The second ride was the Rock n Roller Coaster, it's an inside rollercoaster with lots of loops and you are honestly going so fast, it was the best feeling.
This is such a hard choice because Disneyland is just the most magical place with all the disney characters and the parade but Walt Disney Studios had some amazing rides and shows such as the car stunt so I'm afraid I can't make a choice because I enjoyed them both for different reasons!
8. Tell us about your favourite character meeting at DLP.
I am so heartbroken to say that I didn't get to meet any characters. Towards the end of the day I saw that Minnie Mouse was having a meet and greet and I queued for this for a quite some time but the queue wasn't moving and time was running out so unfortunately we had to leave. I am gutted but it is on my to do list for the next time I visit.
9. What is a parade/show which was the most memorable for you?
I can't even explain how much I LOVED the main parade. I know I keep repeating this word but it was so magical and I just thought the whole thing was so beautifully done. It's hard to put down in words how beautiful it really was, it's one of them 'you had to be there to understand' things.
10. What do you think is the best attraction at Walt Disney Studios?
For sure, the rides that I talked about. Another thing which is a little bit different was the car stunt show, you're on a movie set and see lots of cars doing tricks, basically. This might be one to keep the men entertained through out the day but also a thoroughly enjoyable show!
I just think the experience as a whole is the best in every way and even writing this now, I am smiling so much thinking back at how much of a good time it was. I just think the whole day was the happiest memory in my mind.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post as I definitely enjoyed reminiscing and writing it. If you've ever been to Disney, I invite you to do this tag and share it with me as I would love to read it. If you haven't been to Disney, make sure you go, you won't regret it!

Loved reading this the other day and never got round to commenting! You got some gorgeous photos - Spring is such a great time to visit with all the beautiful flowers etc. If you ever got back I'd for sure recommend staying in a Disney hotel, they really are half the experience and keep the magic going even after the parks have shut.
ReplyDeleteLovely blog too! I just became your 300th follower!!
